We welcome everyone to the XVII Tournament of the White Hart. This year we celebrate a 14th century theme of courtly love, taking our inspiration from Chaucer’s poem, “Parlement of Foules.” This year in addition to hosting the tournaments for the Lord, Champion, Yeoman, and Artisan of the White Hart, we will also have a secret garb contest. The gentle who best incorporates our theme into their attire will receive a gift basket, but no one will know who the judges are.
This year we have been given the honor of hosting the final installation of The Tournament of the Rose. Participants in this tournament will be by invitation. A spectator’s gallery is being arranged and we invite everyone to come, spectate, and cheer on our champions of Æthelmearc.
Doors open at 5pm on Friday March 1st and close 11am on Sunday March 3rd. Site is discretely damp. Anyone on site past 11:00 will be pressed into hard labor. Pets are allowed on the site grounds but will not be permitted into the main hall due to site regulations. Please keep in mind that it can get cold outside in the beginning of March in West Virginia.
